The file below is the recipe for my grandmother's favorite cookies. Although they were one of the dozens of kinds that we could always count on around Christmas, she would bust these out occasionally to be fancy with our afternoon tea. And evening tea. And in the morning if there were any left and she wasn't looking... 

 

Her nickname was GG which stood for "Gorilla Gram." I never understood how she got that nickname, though...
